Every TIDE frame is built from the same short list of materials.

• Handmade cellulose acetate. Plant-derived, pressed from wood pulp and cotton. The colour runs through the sheet rather than sitting on the surface, so it will not chip or fade, and the material warms to your face over time for a personal fit.
• Polarized TAC lenses. Multi-layer tri-acetate cellulose that cuts up to 99% of surface glare, with full UV400 protection.
• Metal barrel hinges. Cored into the acetate temple rather than molded out of the frame. Cheap frames mold the hinge into the plastic itself, so when the pivot wears, the frame is done. Ours can be tightened, re-screwed or replaced by an optician.
• An internal metal core running the length of each temple, so the frame holds an adjustment instead of working loose.
